We are living in a time where there is so much going on in the world. We constantly hear of wars and rumors of wars. We are bombarded with heart-wrenching news on the daily, if not by the hour. This as you know is no exaggeration. I sit from time to time and think how I would be affected by this life if I did not have God on my side.

If you haven't figured it out by now, I believe in the True and Living God and I endeavor to share his love with all that I can. I am at a point where I find that I am walking in constant expectation. I don't know what He is getting ready to do, but I know that He is up to something.

One of my favorite scriptures is found in 1 Corinthians 2:9, "That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him" (New Living Translation). I have been just blown away by the love that God has for us. Last weekend, I spent all three days at church for an Encounter with the Holy Spirit. The event spanned Friday through Sunday morning. I left so full, and I continue to go back and listen to the word that was spoken. I am still in awe of the love that God had for us way before we even thought about Him or His existence.

While we were yet sinners, He gave His only son to die on the cross for our sins that we could have everlasting life. Not only did He die, but He rose again on the third day with all power in His hand. That alone gives me excitement this Wednesday evening. I know that He didn't save me so that I could walk around in defeat. But He saved me for a purpose. I am still learning of all of the gifts that He has placed on the inside of me and how he wants them to be used. But, I am beginning to walk with a daily expectation to be used by God. No matter the capacity, my desire is to be used by Him. This gives me hope! In a world where it seems like it's in a constant state of devastation, I find my joy in God and being used by Him. I pray that you can experience this joy like I have. It's an awesome feeling. Are you living in expectation today?

Blessings,
